Since 2014 I have been developing an ongoing UK/Sri Lanka research program together with Dr Saumya Liyanage using phenomenology as a lens to critique cross cultural training in the Department of Theatre Dance and Oriental Ballet at the University of Visual and Performing Arts in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Research outputs include a one month Cross Current Artist Laboratory  together with the Performance Factory in the UVPA, co-facilitated by myself and Dr Saumya Liyanage, and also a co-authored paper, presented at the  International Conference on the Humanities at the University of Kelaniya titled 'Translation, Adaptation and Dramaturgy' 2016.
